Teaching Philosophy

I believe it is very important to build a positive teacher student-learning environment, as this helps create a safe and comfortable place for students to reach their potential. Through this, I acknowledge there are a range of learners, and this will benefit me to know exactly how I can differentiate my teaching to allow development in all my students. I believe in allowing my students to grow by relating the content to the world around them. It is important to create real life situations the students can understand and use their skills. I see myself as a facilitator of learning, coupled with a positive and an empowering approach into student education. Through learning experiences I encourage the students to become active participants throughout the community and challenge themselves in all aspects of their learning. I not only would focus on the curriculum, but also aim to encourage students to be independent, responsible, organised young members of the community. I aim to create a student centred environment, which will help cater for those student needs. I pride myself on keeping up to date on all pedagogical approaches and opportunities.
